http://asciimator.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10326 Rules: 1. No story line whatsoever. No talking; no narrating. 2. Words, numbers, stick figures, etc. may be allowed only when they are used for aesthetic purposes (for cool-looking effects... or secret messages) --but not to create a story. 3. Have some sort of balance. In other words, don't do most of your animating in a tiny square. It can symmetrical but doesn't have to be . Also, make sure to use multiple frames when appropriate. 4. Additions must flow smoothly with previous entries. This is part of the challenge. 5. Save as open source and tag the video "The Abstract Challenge" 6. Don't edit previous entries, change the frame-rate (20 ms per frame), etc. 7. Be original. :) The more creative, the better. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Hmmm... :/ This took a long time, so I hope this isn't too underwhelming. If you look closely, every single symbol moves consistently (or it should, if I didn't make any mistakes), but it's not as cool as I imagined. So, like, the pattern goes down, then the middle stops, then the left goes down and the right goes up, then the right goes up and the left goes down. Then the image rotates, then the pattern goes northeast, and then a thing swipes down from the top. I'm sorry again this took so long. | 28.12.2015

Today still feels like the weekend because I woke up in the late afternoon on Sunday and was up all night. That's my excuse! And yes, I did spare the chair. But not the table. It was in cahoots with the computer. References: asciimator.net/?module=demo&clip_id=9923 asciimator.net/?module=demo&clip_id=9327&tag=hickory+maintenance+service&n=12 | 05.08.2014

Red + green + blue = rainbow = white??? Whoooooa... Also I do this repeating blinking thing a lot. Like, a LOT. Next one I do, I won't do this, I promise. :P Also, please start a new animation from the last frame. This super long animation (which is totally my fault :P ) is becoming really buggy for me. Plus I might have made a mistake in the circuit animation, and I don't know if I'll have to go back to fix it... yeah... | 03.07.2014

Also I'm a perfectionist, so that doesn't help. And I found a color bug, where colors like #ff0fff don't work, so I had to compromise. :/ I'll have to fix those frames later when I make that screensaver. Also it'd be nice if there was an easier way to layer two big loops on top of each other, like "mass layering". And Firefox decided to crash on me a couple times so that wasn't fun... :/ But OMG I'M GOLDEN HOW DID THIS HAPPEN I DON'T EVEN!!! :D :D :D | 27.06.2014

Please help me finish this!

by AweAndWonder ~715 $0.00

This is the uncompleted asciimation I made for kelleroid since he won that contest. I'm having some writer's block, and I'd really appreciate it if you could throw me some ideas/suggestions. Note that I probably won't copy your suggestions exactly, since I want this to still be my original work, but hopefully they will inspire me to finally finish this!!!!! | 02.10.2011
