ASCIImating takes concentrated effort for all the hot frame by frame action to look good. Making 100 good frames (usually that's just 10-15 seconds) takes quite a while.

And sometimes you just don't want to.

Ricochet Infinity? 0.o Grab a copy of BreakQuest! I do not know how people endure playing an Arkanoid without a gravitator device!

Kelleroid, usually it is just 10-20 good frames, joined by 3-5 good transition sections. (winks)
Though I admit that dialogueless destruction with your style takes much more time than non-lethal techniques, certain DDGC-tricks, Draconis armaments and, sometimes, Zeusguy-morphing.

What do you mean by a gravitator device in an arkanoid?

About animating, exactly what I mean. I like my animations smooth and HQ.

MyO, I have played Breakquest but it does not quite match the awesomeness of Ricochet Infinity :)
Also, ricochet Infinity has a "gravitator device" as well, albeit weaker.
That and BreakQuest has no editor :)

In my opinion, Zeusguy-morphing is the best thing ever, and if you don't agree i will make you all Zeusguy-morph into giant-purple-floating-ascii-balls!

I meant that some of your morph tricks are *easier* to animate, not *less cool*.
My sudden O-GLITCH STATUE is less cool than your smooth morph attacks you used to apply to Olivier. =)

Kelleroid, BreakQuest has a nice feature few Arkanoid games have: a gravitator. An ability to slightly alter the trajectory of a ball by attracting it towards the paddle. Makes solving levels easier.

And RI has an editor full of massive potential to create mindblowing levels with usage of the Scripting functionality.
